Farewell Message in Sydney
by our Honourable-
First Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand from the Syrian Arab
Republic.
"I thank my friend Ross Burns who is not only a friend of Syria but a
friend of all Arabs. When I see people writing of Syria they are
interested in our country and the just cause it supports. We support the
egalitarian culture by Australians taking a non biased position of Arab
countries most stricken by war in the Middle East. Journalist are
speaking of the Lebanon and Gaza wars here in Australia. I thank the
Friends of Syria Group by pinpointing the friendship area that Syria was
in need for a "multicultural country" in the Southern Hemisphere. We
wish Australia takes a constructive role in the Arab friendships and the
Arab Community and wish the Arab community could reach this level of
engagement and take it the next level.
Thank you all, the Syrian Embassy and I are proud of my duty. In truth,
my love to all is as great as the your love to me as a whole in Sydney
and Syria".
