A
kind of longing to return… I have no idea what I like about it,
for I have not been there yet until now (in this lifetime).
It is just that I have long had the feeling that I need and want to go
there to remember who I am as an early aspect of humankind. Sounds
strange perhaps to many people, but such it is. The place resounds with
me when I tune into it. That's all there is to it. A kind of longing to
return to a place that was once home to me.
Cheers aye,
Jose.

Fortresses, Churches, Mosques, Temples… It’s all there … today
standing and still watching the different civilizations pass by, just as
it has been for thousands of years… Palmyra, Maaluula and even more
today Aleppo being the capital of Islamic culture… Culture, culture and
more culture that is what is so special about Syria today… It is truly
worth visiting. What appeals to me so much are the very historic Arabian
houses in the narrow streets of Damascus; I have always wanted to see
what it’s like there…

Scenery… I have always longed to see the mountains overlooking
Damascus especially in winter as friends have told me how appealing it
is enjoying fine Syrian cuisine in warm cozy restaurants on the
mountains which overlook Damascus… Even better in summer the cooler
breeze is so nice while having a glimpse at Damascus below…
